(March) The station broadcasts voice and music from Tufts University. An outgrowth of the Tufts Wireless Society and founded by students Harold Power and Joseph Prentiss, broadcasts sporadically in September 1920, it becomes the first station in the Boston area to broadcast regularly on May 20, 1921 (8MK, later WWJ, in Detroit is the first t broadcast regularly in the U.S. on August 20, 1920). IXE becomes WGI in February 1922, WARC in March 1925, and goes off the air in 1930.
